Live performance location, hotel, soccer stadium prepared for downtown Milwaukee

A new live performance venue, alongside with a resort and skilled soccer stadium, are planned for downtown Milwaukee’s west aspect — a project its backers say will make a new amusement district and transform a largely dead web site.

The blended-use advancement, known as the Iron District, is to be constructed on an 11-acre web-site that features the former Ramada Resort, 633 W. Michigan St., in accordance to a Friday announcement from Bear Improvement LLC and Kacmarcik Enterprises LLC.

The job is scheduled to crack ground by early fall, with the stadium and leisure venue projected to open up in spring 2024. The challenge also will include 99 flats with underground parking as properly as street-stage restaurant and retail place and underground parking buildings.

The 8,000-seat soccer stadium is to host a skilled soccer workforce that Kacmarcik Enterprises operator Jim Kacmarcik plans to deliver to Milwaukee.
